How To Find Blogging Work

I recently wrote a post on ways to get extra cash where I named blogging as a legitimate way to earn some extra money. Starting a blog can sometimes be the easy part. But once you get started, finding sponsored post opportunities can be really difficult. Whether you are just starting out or you have been blogging for years, there are a few places you can find blogging work suitable for you.

Get Blogged

Get Blogged is a blogging platform that allows bloggers to look at sponsored post opportunities and apply for the ones that are suitable. The pay isn’t always amazing for your DA, but if you want to get paid quickly then it is definitely worth signing up. Although they say that payments will be made within 72 hours of the post going live, in my experience it is usually sooner. Sign up to Get Blogged is free and all fees are taken before they offer the payment to the blogger, so the final figure quoted is what you will actually receive. Payments are made via Paypal.

Facebook Groups

Facebook groups are a great way to find blogging opportunities. One thing to be careful of though is that some have quite strict rules, like people being muted for leaving their emails in the replies to a post (most groups prefer Google forms). Two of my favourite Facebook groups for finding blogging work are UK Influencer Opportunities and Official UK Bloggers.

People Per Hour

I was pretty shocked recently to find out that a few of my blogging friends didn’t know about People Per Hour. It’s a freelancer platform that is quite well-known worldwide. You can pitch for work and there are often opportunities for copywriters or blog writers. They are a bit few and far between but the pay is a lot higher than some of the other platforms. The money takes a couple of days to hit your Paypal account, but payment is still pretty quick.

Twitter Hashtags

As well as Facebook, Twitter is another place that PR’s and brands tend to share their sponsored post opportunities. Here are a few of the hashtags people use on Twitter to share blogging work:

#bloggerswanted

#bloggersrequired

#bloggerrequest

#Prrequest

Feel free to drop any more places to find blogging work in the comments if you have any.
